The Seattle University volleyball team found out what it takes to compete at the Division I level, as the Oregon State Beavers swept the Redhawks, 25-13, 25-17, and 25-12, Tuesday night at the Connolly Center in Seattle’s first home contest as a Division I school in almost three decades.

Kaytlyn Dill (, ) led with seven kills, plus she earned eight digs and a solo block. Janet Beckerman (, ) picked up five kills, four of them in the first set, while Emily Deleissegues (Aromas, ) led the team defensively with 11 digs.

Seattle University took a 2-0 lead in the first set, but Oregon State scored the next four points and pulled away, scoring the last six points of the first set. The Beavers continued the momentum into the second set, going on an 11-3 run midway through the set to take control and eventually bring a 2-0 lead into the intermission. scored six of the first seven points in the third set and never looked back, cruising to its fourth sweep in as many matches this season.

Rachel Rourke led (4-0) with 12 kills, with Bree Knitter earning ten kills and Jill Sawatzky and Lauren Rinderknecht contributing seven kills each. Setter Camilla Ah-Hoy had a solid all-around night with 36 assists, a service ace, eight digs, and five total blocks, and libero Ashley Evans led the Beavers defensively with 15 digs.
