Down by ten points with four minutes remaining in the second half, the women’s basketball team held Alaska Anchorage scoreless for the rest of the game, scoring the last 13 points to upset the seventh-ranked Seawolves, 67-64, Thursday night in GNAC action at the .

With the score 52-51 in the Seawolves’ favor with 10:45 remaining, Alaska Anchorage went on a 12-3 run, with Dasha Basova hitting two three-pointers off the bench and Rebecca Kielpinski earning five points and three rebounds during the run. Taryn Kellogg (, ) started ’s comeback with a three-pointer with 2:34 left to cut the visitor’s lead to seven.

After an missed shot, Kamrica Ary-Turner () drove the length of the court and scored. Alaska Anchorage missed another shot, and Ary-Turner hit a three-pointer to bring the Redhawks within two at 64-62 with 1:26 left. Kellogg earned a steal, and Ary-Turner hit another three-pointer to give a 65-64 advantage with 54 seconds left.

An offensive foul and two kicked balls by Alaska Anchorage allowed to milk the clock until Alysse Carlson () was fouled. Carlson missed the front end of the one-and-one and Kielpinski grabbed the rebound, but she immediately threw the ball into the arms of Ary-Turner. Kellogg was fouled and made both free throws with 6.8 seconds left, and Alaska Anchorage was unable to get off an attempt to tie the game before time ran out.

Chelsie Morrison () hit 7-of-11 shots from the field, including 5-of-6 from three-point land, to lead SeattleU with 20 points. Ary-Turner finished with 15 points, three assists, and four steals, and Laina Sobczak () notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kellogg also played a solid game with eight points, four rebounds, and five assists.

For Alaska Anchorage (25-4, 14-3 GNAC), Kielpinski led all players with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Kalhie Quinones earned 13 points, five rebounds, and two steals and Ruby Williams contributed 10 points and seven rebounds. The Seawolves shot 46.2 percent from the field and outrebounded the Redhawks, 44-30, but committed 20 turnovers which led to 20 SeattleU points. shot 35.9 percent from the field, but made 12 three-pointers and committed only eight turnovers.

Seattle University (16-10, 7-10 GNAC) will look to finish the regular season on a positive note when Alaska Fairbanks comes to the Connolly Center for a 5 p.m. tipoff. Before the game, Ary-Turner, Kellogg, Chelsea Kungkagam (, ), Sobczak, and Jackie Thomas () will be recognized in Senior Night ceremonies.
