Three Women’s Soccer Players Honored as Daktronics All-Far West Region
Wymer and Collins named to the Daktronics All- Region First Team
Three members of the Seattle University Women’s Soccer Team were honored as members of the Daktronics All-Far West Region Team. forward Leah Wymer and defender, Madison Collins were named to the First Team. Midfielder, Ashley Porter was named to the second team.
Wymer, a senior leads the GNAC in goals scored with 17. It his her first year on the first team, after being named to the Daktronics All-Far West Region second team last year.
Collins, a junior is also making her first appearance on the Daktronics All-Far West Region Team. She is a key member of the defense that has allowed just 11 goals this season and has 12 shutouts.
Porter, a senior joins the Daktronics second team All-Far West Region this season after being first team last year. This season she has 14 assists to tie her own GNAC record. She also is just one assist away from breaking the career mark.
Sarah Martinez of Seattle Pacific was named the 2007 Daktronics All-Far West Region player of the year after leading SPU to a 20-0 record so far and scoring team high 16 goals.
