Seniors Leah Wymer (, ) and Ashley Porter (, ) earned spots on the All-GNAC First Team for the third time, as eight women’s soccer players in all received recognition as the GNAC postseason awards were announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.

Wymer, first in the conference in goals (17) and tied for first in points (38), was a unanimous selection to the first team for the third consecutive year. Porter, the 2006 GNAC Player of the Year, once again earned 14 assists this season, tying her own GNAC single season record as well as tying the record for career assists with 48.

Four players earned first team recognition, the most of any GNAC school. Defender Madison Collins (, ) led the defense as it allowed only 11 goals in 20 matches this season, plus she earned two goals and two assists offensively. Goalie Kaitlyn Jackson () was named to the first team for the second consecutive year, playing every second in net for the Redhawks, notching a 0.55 goals against average with 12 shutouts.

Jasmine Wilson (SeaTac, ) earned second team honors after finishing the year with four goals, including the game-winning goal on Oct. 27 against Northwest Nazarene. Three other Redhawks earned honorable mention recognition by the conference coaches: junior midfielder Maryann Boddy (, ), senior defender Mickey Pelland (, ), and junior defender Maria Madeira ().

finished the regular season with a 17-3 record, including a 12-2 record in conference play, good enough for a second place finish in the GNAC. The 17 victories are the most by the women’s soccer team since 2000, and it is the 12th consecutive season that the team has won at least 11 matches during the year.

is the second seed in the region of the 2007 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament. After a first-round bye, the Redhawks will face the winner of Friday’s match between and Cal State Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 11, beginning at 1 p.m. at Championship Field.
