With victories over Humboldt State and Sonoma State over the weekend, the Seattle University men's soccer team placed four players on the Seawolf Classic All-Tournament Team, chosen by the head coaches of the teams involved in the tournament.

With victories over and over the weekend, the men’s soccer team placed four players on the Seawolf Classic All-Tournament Team, chosen by the head coaches of the teams involved in the tournament.

For the second straight season, John Fishbaugher (, ) scored ’s first goal of the season, blasting a free kick into the net 19:35 into Friday’s match against . He also assisted on ’s goal in the 79th minute to wrap up the Redhawks’ 3-0 victory over the Lumberjacks.

Jason Cascio (, ), the 2006 GNAC Player of the Year with 16 goals, scored his first goal of the 2007 season on Sunday against . He also drew the foul within the box in the 39th minute that led to the penalty kick goal for that proved to be the game winner. The tournament coaches named him Offensive MVP of the classic.

Andrew Kreiter (, ) was a steady force in the midfield for , continually putting pressure on the defense with his passing and ball handling. Goalie Emerson DeOliveira () picked up the at-large position on the team, making five saves in earning his first two collegiate victories of his career.

Seattle University (2-0), the 12th-ranked team in the country, continues its five-match California road swing Wednesday, August 29, at Cal State Stanislaus beginning at 4 p.m. After trips to Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Los Angeles, the squad opens its home schedule against Notre Dame de Namur Sunday, September 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Championship Field.
