Dr. Shireen Mansoori is Seattle University Athletics' lead physical therapist. She works closely with the sports medicine team in performance enhancement, injury prediction and prevention, post-surgical rehabilitation and injury evaluation. She provides regular on-campus care as well as utilizing her private practice at Seattle Sports Institute.
Dr. Mansoori completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Washington, followed by her Orthopaedic Residency at the University of Southern California, and Division I Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship at Duke University. After working under various world renowned coaches at Duke, Shireen returned home to Seattle in 2015. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and has an extensive background in working with various NBA, NFL, and NCAA athletes with injuries both in the clinic and athletic training room setting. Shireen also enjoys working with athletes of all ages and competitive levels with complex spinal and extremity injuries, incorporating a number of manual therapy, bio-mechanical, and therapeutic exercise techniques. Her current research topics includes the use of athlete monitoring systems in rehabilitation for high performance athletes, concussion rehabilitation, and intra-articular and extra-articular hip pathologies.
