Mike Jones

After six years as the director of men's basketball operations, Mike Jones was named an assistant coach on Cameron Dollar's staff starting in the 2015-16 season.

Jones joined the Seattle University men's basketball staff after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director (2006-2009) and head men's basketball coach (2004-2006) at Pasadena City College. In the 2004-2005 season, Jones directed the PCC men's basketball team to an exciting run in winning the Santa Ana Holiday Tournament, beating a top-ranked Mt. San Antonio College squad for the tourney title.

Previously, Jones was an assistant men’s basketball coach Pasadena City College in the 2002-2003 season, after serving a similar role from 1994-97. From 1999-2002, Jones worked as an assistant coach for the PCC women's basketball program. The women's basketball team won a South Coast Conference title in 1999-2000.

In 1998-99, Jones was a top assistant under head coach Cameron Dollar for NAIA Southern California College men's basketball program. From 1985-89, he served as an assistant coach at Pasadena High School. Early in his coaching career, Jones was on the staff for the 1978-79 and ‘80-81 Los Angeles City champion Manual Arts High basketball teams.  Jones was also an assistant basketball coach at Salesian HS in East Los Angeles during the 1979 -80 season.

Jones earned a business degree and two master's degrees: one in Physical Education and the other in Organizational Management at Azusa Pacific University.

Jones and his wife, Jenelle, formerly resided in Altadena, Calif. He is the father of three adult children: Idris, Ozier, and Saran.
