Known for her adeptness and serving in multiple areas for Towson volleyball, Washington native MacKenzie Whyte officially joined the Seattle U volleyball program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025 season.
A product of Snohomish, Whyte took her talents to the opposite coast, competing two seasons at Towson before graduating with her undergraduate degree in communications this past spring. Following a high school career that boasted a school record breaking season and three All-Area recognitions, Whyte debuted for the Tigers in 2023.
Tabbed a “swiss army knife” entering her senior year in Towson, Whyte embodied the moniker, stepping in for the Tigers wherever she was needed. The middle blocker/outside hitter also specialized in serving, appearing in 41 sets across 20 matches. She accumulated 12 kills, seven aces, 14 digs and 20.0 blocks, guiding the Tigers to a 24-6 season and a quarterfinals appearance in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament following a third place finish in the CAA regular season.
