Lisa Maulden joined Geoff Hirai's staff in the summer of 2023, returning to the University she played collegiately for four season (2012-15).

Maulden came back to the Emerald City after spending nine years playing professionally overseas in nine different countries. The Maple Valley, Wash., native excelled in one the world's top leagues, claiming two All-League "Best Nine" awards at designated player during her time in Japan. 

Maulden sports experience coaching at the professional, collegiate and youth levels over six calendar years. She most recently served as a coaching coordinator for the Hibsicus Coast Softball Club (Auckland, New Zealand) during 2019-20. 

Maulden put her name all over the record book in her four seasons (2012-15) at Seattle U and currently holds the fourth spot in career doubles (34), sixth spot in home runs (20), seventh spot in slugging % (.539) and eighth spot in RBIs (103). The infielder earned All-WAC First Team and All-Tournament Team honors in 2014 after recording a career-best .359 batting average with 52 hits, 12 doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBIs. Maulden also holds the stat for first home run after the 2013 renovation of Logan Field. 

"Being able to bring Lisa back to this program will greatly benefit our student athletes," said Hirai. "Her experience playing on the international level makes her a great mentor when searching for guidance."
