Lauren Erickson joined the Seattle University sports medicine staff in August 2015. Lauren came to Seattle University after serving as a clinical instructor and assistant athletic trainer at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). While at UCA, Lauren was responsible for the direct care of student-athletes on the women's basketball, cross country and track teams. Lauren also taught numerous courses in the Athletic Training Program as well as courses in the Kinesiology and Physical Education Department.
Prior to her experiences at UCA, she received her Master’s degree in Sport Psychology at California State University, Fresno. While at Fresno State, her primary responsibility was providing medical coverage for the women’s softball team and serving as an approved clinical instructor.
Lauren received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts working as an athletic trainer for numerous athletic teams including Northeastern University field hockey, University of Denver volleyball, UMASS Boston basketball, and Harvard University women’s soccer, men’s lacrosse and football.
Originally from Denver, Colo., she is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Washington State Athletic Trainers' Association. She also holds a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine
