Seattle U volleyball welcomes Kevin Braceros as its newest assistant coach ahead of the upcoming 2025 season.

Braceros brings a wealth of volleyball experience to the program as it embarks on its transition into the West Coast Conference. In his new role, he will work with various position groups, while leading the team's recruiting efforts. He most recently served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Chi City volleyball, a club organization based in Chicago.

"We're excited to welcome Kevin into our program," Behnke shared, "He's a connector and networker who will bring a lot of passion to this position. Some of Kevin's roles will be recruiting and overseeing our analytics in addition to working with our liberos and outside hitters."

The Illinois native competed three seasons at North Central College after starting his collegiate career at Erskine College. Upon graduation with his bachelor's degree in psychology, he joined NCC's women's volleyball's coaching staff as a graduate assistant while working as a director of operations for Chi City. While competing with the Cardinals, Braceros earned back-to-back Academic All-CCIW honors.

"I want to express my gratitude to Dan and Seattle University for the opportunity to become a part of the Redhawk family," Braceros said, "The mission that the Seattle University Athletics Department has towards developing the whole athlete aligns with my coaching philosophy and the impact I want to have on these student athletes."

Braceros added,"It's an exciting time as we move into the West Coast Conference, and I'm looking forward to working with Dan and the rest of the staff as we take on this new challenge. I am excited to work with this talented group of athletes as we strive to win the day, every day."
