John Kemp is a second-year graduate assistant for Seattle University’s baseball program, focusing on baseball analytics. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business through Seattle University. Alongside his role with the RedHawks, John coaches in the West Coast League for the Bend Elks, gaining valuable experience at a high level of collegiate summer baseball.
John earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington State University and has five years of coaching experience with the City Baseball Club in Seattle under former Redhawks coach Wes Long. A former collegiate athlete himself, John played one year of baseball at Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon, before turning his focus to coaching and analytics.
A graduate of Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, Washington, John still resides in Burien. He is supported by his parents, Paul and Nicolle, and his sister, Madeline.
