Janessa (Oppegard) Jones returned to the Seattle University athletics department as the Travel Coordinator/Administrative Assistant in February 2012. She is the liason between the department and travel companies, helping to negotiate travel arrangements beneficial to the department. She also handles other administrative duties as assigned to her.
Jones had been a graduate assistant within the ticket operations office during the 2009-10 academic year, helping with ticket sales and service during the first season of men's basketball at KeyArena.
Prior to her graduate assistant position, Jones worked for the Seattle Storm. She started out as an intern for the Ticket Sales and Service Department and afterwards was hired on as the Ticket Sales and Service Assistant.
She received her undergraduate degree from Western Washington University in Exercise and Sport Science. Prior to transferring to WWU she attended Everett Community College, where she played on the women's basketball team for two years and served as an assistant coach for one year. She earned her master's degree in the Sport Administration and Leadership program at Seattle University.
