Henry Hudson

Henry Hudson is in his second year of coaching for the Redhawks swimming program, and is originally from New Paltz, NY. Hudson earned a Bachelor’s degree in History in 2008 from the University of Washington, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Educational Administration at Seattle University. In addition to coaching the Redhawks, Hudson is also the Head Age Group and Developmental Coach for the Olympic Cascades Aquatics Swim Club.

Previous to coaching at Seattle U, Hudson was a part of the Division I Marist College Swimming Program as an assistant swim coach for the 2008-2009 season. While at Marist, he was also the Head Age Group Coach for the successful Marist Swim Club.

As a swimmer, Hudson is the former University of Washington record holder for the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:46.75. He has the seventh fastest time in UW history for the 200 IM(1:48.91), and the fifth fastest time in UW history for the 400 IM (3:53.73). He competed in the 2007 Summer U.S. Senior Nationals (100 Back, 200 Back, 200 IM, and 400 IM). He also has eight top-16 finishes at Pac-10 Championships and three second-place finishes at the 2007 Eastern Sectionals Championship.
