Colton Kaiser

Colton Kaiser is a Strength, Speed and Conditioning Assistant at Seattle University. He is in charge of men’s and women’s track & field, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s tennis, and softball.

Before his current graduate assistant position, Kaiser completed the Sports Performance Internship at University of Denver and obtained experience coaching athletes at the top non-football school in the nation, working with all 17 of their sports teams while gaining unique experience and education related to evidence-based training, Triphasic training methods, 3D evaluation/training techniques and knowledge related to functional applied science.

Before his time at University of Denver, Kaiser got experience as a Sports Performance Coach at Center For Athletic Performance in Scottsdale, AZ. While at CAP, he worked with a multitude of high school and youth athletes, and was in charge of the speed training of all of the soccer teams training out of CAP.

Previous to his position at CAP, he completed an extensive internship with UCLA Football Strength and Conditioning. During this internship, he gained experience coaching the vast majority of the football team for all aspects of performance, became very competent in coaching the UCLA Football training model as well as being educated on all of their methods and philosophies. As part of the internship, he was also trained extensively on coaching Olympic lifts as well as all major strength lifts.

Prior to his internship at UCLA Football, Kaiser completed an internship at EXOS consisting of a combined total of over 1,000 hours. For the first eight weeks of his internship, he assisted Nick Winkelman, one of the most renowned speed coaches in the world, with the speed coaching of 40 athletes preparing for the NFL Combine and Pro Day, as well as assisting another coach with the strength coaching of these athletes. Three of which were part of the top 10 fastest athletes at the Combine.

After the NFL Combine was over, this was followed by assisting and coaching a variety of other sports and age groups including NFL players, UFC fighters, collegiate athletes, soccer players, hockey players, basketball players, football players, firefighters, and a wide variety of other sports and disciplines of all levels. During his time at EXOS, he also assisted with multiple mentorship groups attended by coaches from around the world. Kaiser became extremely competent in the EXOS training system and methodology, and got an extensive amount of experience applying and coaching it hands-on. He also regularly attended any education sessions, mentorships, and learned from a wide variety of coaches, some of which are some of the most renowned experts in the field of Strength and Conditioning.

Kaiser holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions, as well as a minor in Nutrition. He is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration and Leadership from Seattle University’s College of Arts and Sciences. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is also a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
