Chris Borden

Chris Borden enters his second year with Seattle U in the fall of 2018.

In his first year, Borden helped coach the men’s team to 10 regular-season wins.  During that season, freshman Colton Weeldreyer was named the WAC Tennis Player of the Week for Jan. 29 – Feb. 4, while Arshak Ghazaryan won the same award for the week of Feb. 12-18.  Weeldreyer and Matt Alderson later received the WAC Doubles Team of the Week award for April 2-8.

Borden has worked as a tennis coach or instructor for eight years, most recently at Pennsylvania State University as a volunteer assistant coach for women’s tennis. He graduated from George Mason University in 2014 with a degree in accounting. During his time at GMU, he earned the Provost Achievement Award and Athletics Provost Achievement Award in 2011, 2012 and 2013.  He also received the GMU Achievement Award in 2012 and 2013 as well as Dean's List honors in six semesters.
