Cameron (Cam) Williams joined the Seattle University Athletics staff as the Head Strength, Speed and Conditioning Coach in August 2017. He is the primarly lead for men’s basketball, men's soccer, men's and women's golf and volleyball.
Williams served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Vassar College from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Georgetown University. Williams also coached at Perfect Performance and specalized in speed and agility.
Williams is a D.C. native, but grew up in Stamford, Conn, where he was a stand out athlete at King & Low-Heywood Thomas School, lettering in both basketball and football, and receiving all-conference honors in basketball his senior year. Although he received more attention from college football coaches, Cameron chose to play college basketball at Washington University in St. Louis.
In St. Louis, Williams lettered all four years in basketball and received all-conference honors in both the indoor and outdoor track seasons his junior and senior years. He was the indoor and outdoor champion in the high jump his junior year, and during his senior year was conference champion during the indoor season and conference runner up in the outdoor season. During his junior year, Williams also qualified for the NCAA Division III indoor championships with a leap that still stands as the school’s indoor record. At the indoor championships Cameron placed fourth in the high jump earning him All-American honors. His accomplishments during his junior track & field season earned him Washington University's junior male Athlete of the Year award.
Williams earned his masters in Exercise Science from George Washington University. Williams taught high school physics for three years after finishing his undergraduate degree.
