2009: Raissa played in 69 games for the Redhawks, and ended the season fifth in kills ith 62. She also earned 14 digs, and was third on the team ith 62 total blocks. Her best performance of the season came during a October 1 win against Trinity Western where she scored 7 kills and 3 blocks. She had a season-high 8 blocks on September 30 against Portland.
2008: Raissa appeared in 30 sets over 12 matches, finishing with 29 kills, nine service aces, 12 digs, and 24 total blocks. During the Dig For The Cure Classic, she earned six kills, two aces, seven digs, and six blocks against South Dakota and followed that with seven kills, an assist, and three digs against North Dakota. Raissa picked up five block assists in home matches against Cal State Bakersfield (October 25) and Seattle Pacific (November 12).
High School: Raissa was a three-time all-conference performer at Grandview High School. She helped the team reach the state playoffs three consecutive years (2005 to 2007) and earned the coach's award. Raissa also lettered in basketball and track & field during her high school career and was salutatorian of her class.
Personal: Raissa is the oldest child of Ana Licano and Robert Sanchez. Born February 5, 1990, she is majoring in humanities for teaching.
