High School: Hartman was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and a three-year letterwinner in golf at Eastmont High School. She qualified for the WIAA state championship meet in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, earning First Team All-Conference honors in the 50 freestyle in 2014. She received the Coach's Award in 2015.
Club: Hartman swam for the Barracude Swim Team from 2003 to 2010 before moving to the Velocity Swim Team from 2010 to 2015.
Personal: Hartman is the youngest child of Rob and Jamie Hartman, and she has an older brother named Derek and an older sister named Tori. She is majoring in history.
