At Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference Championships, competed in 200 Individual Medley, placed 51st with a time of 2:21.36 ... competed in 100 Backstroke, placed 28th with a time of 1:03.58 ... competed in 200 Backstroke, placed 24th with a time of 2:15.69.
Palo Verde HS: Sarena was a two time letterwinner in swimming for the Panthers. She qualifed for the state championships twice for relays and twice for personal events. She was voted as the rookie of the year her freshman season, also won the drive to win and most dedicated awards. Sarena was a state champion in the 200 freestyle relay.
Personal: Sarena is the daughter of Norman and Joyce Hobson...plans to major in international business at Seattle University.
