2012-13: Took 10th place by shooting 224 (+8) at the WAC Championship April 22-24 ... carded a 245 (+29) and tied for 69th at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic April 8-10 ... tied for 52nd after taking 233 strokes (+23) at the Challenge at Onion Creek April 1-2 ... took 241 strokes (+25) and tied for 61st at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 12-13 ... tied for 31st at Red Rocks Invitational (March 2-3) after carding 156 strokes (+12) ... shot 156 (+12) and tied for 31st at Cal Poly Invitational (Oct. 26-27) ... tied for 16th and took 154 strokes (+10) at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational (Oct. 22-23) ... took 230 strokes and tied for 27th at Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate (Oct. 13-14) ... took 59th after taking 244 strokes (+28) at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational (Oct. 8-10) ... began collegiate career by taking 224 strokes (+8) and tying for third at Rose City Collegiate (Oct. 1-2).

High School: Sorensen spent four years on the Christian Brothers High varsity golf team. She helped lead the team to three divisional championships, the regional championship in 2011, and the state championship that year as well. Individually, she earned All-Conference designations all four years in school, as well as Scholar-Athlete in 2010 and 2011, All-Division in 2010 and 11, and Alll-City in 2011 as well. She earned the team's Most Improved Player award in 2008 and was designated the squad's MVP 2009-2011. Sorensen also played one year of basketball and was involved with various clubs, joining the Christian Service Corps and National Honor Society. She also earned multiple awards for her community service and academic excellence.

Other Experience: Sorensen spent time on tours hosted by First Tee of Greater Sacramento and The Junior Golf Association of Northern California. She won the 2011 Northern California Junior Girls Championship at Spyglass Hill Golf Club and the 2011 Sacramento City Junior Easter Chamionship. Sorensen also qualified for the 2012 US Women's Amateur Championship at TheCountry Club in Cleveland, Ohio, taking fourth at a local qualifying tournament. In the US Women's Am, she finished with rounds of 77 and 78, tying for 99th.

Personal: Full name Clare Elisabeth Sorensen. Parents are Teresa and Charles Sorensen, and she has two siblings named Anna and Peter. Sorensen is a business finance major and part of the Core Honors Program, and she wants to be either in the business industry or a golf commentator after graduation. Sorensen is also heavily involved with community service, having coached for The First Tee of Greater Sacramento and helped with California Eagles, a Special Olympics group that teaches athletes with down syndrome golf fundamentals and life skills. She's also one of 30 kids in the country that are ACE certified at the highest life skills program level.
