High School: Abby was a two-year starter for the Kamiakin High School Braves, helping the team reach the regional tournament in 2010 and 2011. She was named the team's most improved player in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and in 2011 she finished with 135 total blocks and 131 kills.

Club: Abby played for Columbia Juniors U18 Black in 2010 and 2011, helping the team perform well in the CEVA Puget Sound Power League and in the Northwest Junior Jamboree.

Personal: Abby is the youngest child of Jeremy and Francie Blanchard, and she has an older sister named Emily. Born March 15, 1994, Abby is undecided about her major.
