High School: Hunts Along spent three years on Santa Fe Indian School’s varsity track and field team, as well as three years on the varsity basketball team and two years on the varsity football team… he went to State in 2017 and 2018 for track and field, taking sixth place in the javelin throw in 2018… was also the New Mexico Athletic Association 5AAAA district champion for the javelin throw in 2017 and 2018… named the SFIS Athlete of the Year in 2018 and the team MVP in field events in 2017 and 2018… also went to State with the basketball team in 2016 and 2018.
Personal: Tolaska Hunts Along spent his first year of college at the University of Michigan, where he was part of the Native American Student Association (NASA) Michigan Chapter… in 2018, he won the Santa Fe Elks Society Student of the Year Award and also acted as treasurer for the American Indian Society for Science and Engineering (AISES) SFIS Chapter… he is a premajor at Seattle U.
