2022 Outdoor: Named Second Team All-WAC in the javelin throw… posted SU's second all-time best, and ninth in the WAC and new personal best distance in the javelin of 43.62m (143' 1") during OSU PNW Invite
2021 Outdoor: Academic All-WAC... WAC Champion in the javelin throw with a new personal best mark of 42.63m (139' 10").
2019 Outdoor: All-WAC Second Team… Seattle U Track and Field Female Freshman of the Year... won the bronze medal in the javelin throw at the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a personal-best 41.53m, the WAC’s third-best score of the season… at the Doris Heritage Track Festival, had a mark of 38.88m in the javelin throw.
Whittern qualified for State Championships during all four years on the Nooksack Valley High School varsity track team… achieved several top-place finishes in competition, including Bi-District Javelin Champion in 2016, District Javelin Champion in 2017, and both District and Bi-District Javelin Champion in 2018… the school record-holder for javelin-throwing, she served as team captain during the 2018 season… also played three years on the varsity volleyball team and wrestled for two, qualifying for State both years on the wrestling team and receiving an all-conference honorable mention in 2016.
Nicole Whittern majoring in Sport and Exercise Science… her father, Brian, wrestled at the University of Oregon.
