2008 Cross Country: Natalie competed in every race for Seattle University, capping off her career with a personal-best time of 24:02 at the Beaver Classic, finishing in 60th place in that event. She finished in 81st place at the UW Sundodger Invitational with a time of 24:33, followed by a top-200 placing at the Roy Griak Invitational with a time of 25:47.9. Natalie also finished in 17th place at the Emerald City Open in 25:52 and in 43rd place at the Cascade Conference Preview with a time of 19:40.38.
2007 Cross Country: Martinez continually improved during the season, culminating with a 66th-place finish at the GNAC Championships with a time of 24:56. She started the season with a 21st place finish at the Emerald City Invitational in 26:32.28. At the Western Washington Invitational, she finished in 42nd place with a time of 25:38.1. She also competed in the Charles Bowles Invitational, crossing the finish line in 125th place with a time of 20:07.90.
2006 Cross Country: Natalie ran a time of 25:44 at the Sundodger Invitational. She started the season with a 25th place finish at the Emerald City Invitational in a time of 26:21.14. Ran a 5k time of 20:33.70 at the Charles Bowles Invite in Salem, Ore. Covered the 6k course at the Western Washington Invite in a time of 26:13. Finished 57th at the GNAC Championships with a time of 25:05.85. Covered the 6k course at the West Region meet in Chico, Calif. in a time of 24:36.49, good for 86th place.
2005 Cross Country: Ran 21:50.56 (5000m) for 52nd-place finish at Emerald City Invitational ... Finished 6000m course at Sundodger Invitational in 25:48 ... Ran 27:11 on 6000m course at Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships.
High School: Natalie spent two years on the varsity cross country team at Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was named the team[apos]s Most Improved Varsity Runner in 2001 and the Most Promising Runner in 2002. Her best cross country time was 21:30 for 5k. She was the top-ranked girls wrestler in 2005 and MVP of her high school wrestling team. Natalie also ran track, posting personal bests of 5:36 for the mile and 2:37 for 800 meters.
Personal: Natalie is the daughter of Enrique and Patricia Martinez. She is majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry at Seattle University.
