2006 Outdoor: Threw a season best shot put of 29-07.5 at the Peyton Invite on March 11. A season best javelin throw of 129-03 came at the Western Washington University Twilight meet on April 28.
2006 Indoor: Season best shot put of 29-11.25 was good for a 12th place finish at the GNAC Championships on Feb. 18.
High School: Joe spent three years on the varsity track team at Shorecrest High Schooi. He also played football for the Scots, leading the team in tackles in 2004, earning him All-League Honorable Mention honors.
Personal: Joe is the son of Jim and Tasanee Leigh. He is presently majoring in international business.
