2016 Outdoor: Academic All-WAC ... At Spike Arlt Invitational, finished 15th in the long jump with an outdoor personal record jump of 4.64m.
2016 Indoor: Academic All-WAC ... At UW Indoor Preview, competed in the long jump with a distance of 4.41 meters.
High School: Montenegro was a three-year varsity letter winner in track and field at Redmond High School, and lettered one year in gymnastics. She competed in the KingCo District meet her junior and senior years, and the State qualifying meet during her junior year. In 2012, she earned a Coach's Award, and during her senior year, she was named captain. She also competed in the KingCo District meet in gymanstics in 2014.
Personal: Full name Emi Cecilia Montenegro. Parents are Gabriel and Kimie, and she has an older sibling Keiko. Montenegro is majoring in international studies with minors in French and Spanish.
