2012 Indoor: At Great West Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 25-26, took second in pole vault with clearance of 2.45 meters (8-0.5) ... at UW Open Feb. 10-12, cleared 2.50 meters (8-2.50) in pole vault.
2011 Outdoor: Ariel Johnson took fifth place in the pole vault at the GWC Outdoor Championships with a vault of 3.15 meters (10-4)... At the Oregon Preview, Johnson competed in the pole vault with a jump of 3.10m (10-02.00) ... At the Willamette Invitational, she cleared 3.15 meters for third place ... At WAR 4 (Washington vs. Oregon/Idaho/Montana), she set a school record with an eighth-place finish in the pole vault with a height of 3.45 meters (11-3.75) ... At the Duane Hartman Invite, she competed in the pole vault with a leap of 3.10 meters (10-2) ... At the Ken Shannon Invite, she jumped 3.23m (10-7) in the pole vault ...
2011 Indoor: At the GWC Indoor Championships, Johnson placed sixth in the pole vault with a leeap of 3.25 meters... At the UW Indoor Preview, she cleared 3.16m in the pole vault for 20th place ... At the UW Invitational, she cleared 3.20m ... At the Husky Classic, she set a new school record in the pole vault with a leap of 3.36m (11-00.25) ... 2009 Indoor: Ariel competed in pole vault clearing a height of 9'8.5"
Moscow HS: Ariel won letters in swimming, dance, track, and cross country while competing for the bears. She helped lead Moscow to the 2006 4A state championship in Idaho. She holds the school record in the pole vault, clearing eleven feet. Ariel finished fourth as a freshman at the state meet in the pole vault, but returned in 2006 to win the meet. She finished second her junior year, but again won the meet her senior season. Her personal best in pole vault is 11 ft.
