2007: Jane was on her way to another extraordinary season before hurting her knee on March 30 and missing the rest of the season. In 25 games, she batted .405 with 30 hits, including four doubles and seven home runs, and 28 runs batted in. Despite playing only four of 20 conference games, she was still named honorable mention All-GNAC. In two games against San Francisco State, Jane hit 6-of-8 with two doubles and eight runs batted in. During a three-game series against Northwest Nazarene, she went 5-for-6 with five walks, seven runs scored, four home runs, and nine runs batted in. She was named GNAC Player of the Week after that performance. Jane also earned Academic All-GNAC honors for her performance in the classroom.
2006: Jane continues to put her name all over the Seattle University record book, definitely did not suffer from a sophomore slump. Besides leading the team in numerous offensive categories, Purdy was fourth in the GNAC in batting average (.418), third in slugging percentage (.766), third in on-base percentage (.484), sixth in hits (66), second in runs scored (33), tied for first in triples (5), tied for third in home runs (11), second in runs batted in (58), second in total bases (121), and tied for third in walks (22). She set the school record for most stolen bases without being caught (8) as well as new single season standards for hits, triples, and runs batted in. She was held hitless in only 13 games during the season and had multiple hits in 18 games. She hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning against Hawaii-Hilo at the NCAA Regionals to keep the Redhawks in the tournament with an 11-9 victory. With her performances, she earned All-West Regional Tournament honors as well as First Team All-GNAC and Second Team All-West Region award. In three consecutive wins over Northwest Nazarene on April 27 and 28, she went 10-for-12 with four runs scored, eight RBI, two doubles, and two triples. She hit two home runs in the second game of a doubleheader at Saint Martin's on March 25. In the second game of a doubleheader at Western Oregon on May 6, she went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two home runs, and eight runs batted in. She earned a spot on the All-GNAC Academic Team with her performance in the classroom.
2005: Despite being just a freshman, Jane Purdy put together the most impressive season in Seattle University softball history...was named first-team all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference and first-team all-West Region for her efforts...broke school and GNAC records for single-season batting average (.435), home runs (12), on-base percentage (.523) and slugging percentage (.831)...also led team in nearly every offensive category, including runs scored (35), hits (54), triples (3), and runs batted in (39)...was walked intentionally 11 times...committed just four errors in a number of different defensive positions for a .971 fielding percentage...had six three-hit games and 17 multi-hit games...had career-best six RBI against Saint Martin's (03/23/06)...also hit two home runs in that game.
Sentinel HS: Purdy had an impressive high school career heading into her freshman season at Seattle...was named Gatorade Player of the Year...an all-state performer for three seasons...a three-time team MVP...holds school records for home runs, batting average, runs batter in and slugging percentage...two-time team captain...led team to second place finish in the state in 2003...also competed in volleyball...was an all-state setter and team MVP.
