2011-12: In home intersquad scrimmage Oct. 22, Cheney swam the 200 yard Medley Relay with a relay time of 1:40.14 ... took fourth in the 200 yard Freestyle with a time of 1:47.39 ... placed fifth in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 49.21 ... swam the 100 yard Butterfly in 54.88.
In a meet at the University of the Pacific, on Nov. 4,Cheney swam the 200 freestyle in 1:47.00 ... finished the 100 freestyle in 49.44 ... competed in the 200 freestyle relay finishing 6th with a time of 1:31.10 ... On Nov. 5, he took 9th in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:04.69 ... swam the 100 butterfly in 54.49 ... finished 7th in the 400 freestyle relay with a relay time of 3:16.08.
High School: Cheney was a four year varsity captain at Monte Vista Christian High School. He was named Team MVP in 2009 and 2011. Cheney was a sprinter and mid-distance swimmer for the Mustangs.
Club Experience: Cheney swam for the Cabrillo Threshers from 2001 to 2011. He helped the team take the High Point Cval Championship and also take third place in small team sectionals in 2011. He was named club MVP in 2008 and 2011, and won Swimmer of the Year in 2010.
Personal: Full name is Trevor Scott Cheney. His parents are Viviane and Scott Cheney, and a sister of the same age named Nicole. Cheney is majoring in biology.
