At Seattle U's home meet against Simon Fraser, Martinez placed fourth in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:20.08 ... placed fourth in the 500 freestyle 4:54.85 ... swam the second leg of the fourth-place Seattle U 400 freestyle relay team with a split of 50.67.
On Dec. 3 at Utah, Martinez swam fifth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:48.41 ... Swam fifth in 5:06.17 ... On Dec. 4 at BYU, he finished sixth in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:42.91

2009-2010: Martinez swam against the University of Puget Sound on October 3. He competed in the 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:49.85, the 200 Freestyle Relay with a 22.86, the 1500 Freestyle Relay, and the 400 Freestyle Relay with a 49.87.
On October 12, Andrews swam in the PCSC Relay Meet. He competed in the 80 Freestyle Relay with a final time of 7:17.91, the 500 Freestyle Relay with a final of 4:20.86, the 1500 Freestyle Relay with a final of 14:49.98, and the 400 Freestyle Relay with a final of 3:19.70.
At Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference Championships, team won 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 6:48.32 ... competed in 500 Freestyle, placed 30th with a time of 4:53.88 ... competed in 200 Freestyle, placed 12th with a time of 1:44.22 ... competed in 1650 Freestyle, placed eighth with a time of 16:41.54.
2007-08: Martinez had his best showing during his freshman season with Seattle University during the PCSC Championships.
Martinez helped his 200 free relay team to a tenth place finish with a time of 1:30.32 and then placed 17th with a 4:50.27 in the 500 free. Martinez also picked up a 15th place in the 200 free with 1:47.43 and a 19th in the 100 free with a time of 49.66. His best time during the season in the 200 free was 1:46.70 against the University of Washington.
De La Salle HS: Martinez was the team captain at De La Salle where he swam the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. He was first team all league once and second team all league twice. Was a member of the De La Salle team that went undefeated in dual meets in 2006. Martinez has been swimming for seven years and was also a varsity athlete in Water Polo.
