2013-14: At WAC Championships, finished 29th in 500 freestyle preliminaries in 4:40.86 ... finished 26th in 100 butterfly preliminaries in 51.20 seconds ... qualified for "B" final in 200 butterfly with preliminary time of 1:52.44, then finished eighth in race and 16th overall in event with evening mark of 1:54.57 ... posted times of 47.29 seconds in 100 freestyle time trial and 1:42.99 in 200 freestyle time trial.

At Husky Invitational Dec. 6-8, swam third leg of "C" 200 medley relay with split of 24.27 seconds ... finished 13th in preliminaries of 100 butterfly in 51.58 seconds ... posted time of 1:45.95 in 200 freestyle prelims ... finished 200 butterfly prelims in 1:55.04.

On Oct. 19 versus CSUB and GCU, swam 100 butterfly in 54.67 ... finished 200 butterfly in 2:00.73

2012-13: At MPSF Championships Feb. 20-23, swam 500 yard freestyle in 4:49.11 ... swam 100 yard butterfly in 50.95 ... took 24th in 200 yard fly with finals time of 1:55.49 (preliminary time 1:52.80).

At Simon Fraser Feb. 2, took fourth in 100 meter butterfly with a time of 59.48.

On Jan. 18-19, Abadi snchored sixth place 400 yard medley relay in 50.00 (relay time 3:37.60) ... competed in 200 yard freestyle ... swam 200 yard butterfly in 2:04.42 ... swam 100 yard butterfly in 53.33 ... and swam third leg of 400 yard freestyle relay in 49.63 (relay time 3:17.30)

Versus Whitworth on Jan. 12, Abadi took third place in the 200 yard butterfly with at time of 1:58.72 ... swam the 100 yard butterfly in 53.09 ... anchored second-fastest 400 yard freestyle relay in 48.84 (relay time 3:13.83).

Versus Pacific Lutheran on Jan. 11, Abadi took second place in 200 yard butterfly with a mark of 2:02.82 ... swam third leg of second-place 200 yard medley relay team in 24.41 (relay time 1:40.56) ... swam third leg of 200 yard freestyle relay in 22.88 (relay time 1:31.14).

On Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in the Husky Invitational, Abadi swam the 200 yard Butterfly preliminaries with a time of 1:53.63, taking 13th ... finished 14th in the final 200 yard Butterfly with a time of 1:54.84 ... took the 100 yard Butterfly in 51.77, finished 34th ... swam the 800 yard Freestyle Relay with the team in 7:10.70, finished 19th.

Versus British Columbia Nov 17, Abadi swam the 1000 yard Freestyle in 10:02.99, taking fourth ... took third in the 200 yard Butterfly with a time of 1:58.36 ... swam anchor leg of winning 400 yard Freestyle Relay (relay time 3:13.31).

Versus Simon Fraser Nov. 10, Abadi swam the 200 yard Butterfly in 1:56.75, taking third ... swam 500 yard Free in 4:55.56 ... swam third leg of third-place 400 yard Freestyle Relay in 49.73 (relay time of 3:17.62).

On Oct 20 at CSU Bakersfield, Abadi swam the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 52.81.

2011-12 Season: On Oct 22 in a home intersquad scrimmage, Abadi swam the 200 medley relay (relay time of 1:38.94) ... swam the 200 butterfly in 1:56.93 ... swam the 500 freestyle in 4:52.68 ... swam the 400 freestyle relay (relay time of 3:20.72).

In a meet at the University of the Pacific, on Nov. 4, Abadi took 9th in the 1650 with a time of 17:04.46... swam the 500 Freestyle in 4:55.40 ...On Nov. 5, he placed 7th in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 1:57.57... competed in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:53.19... swam in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a relay time of 3:20.74.

On Nov. 12, in a meet at Denver, Abadi swam the 200 Butterfly in 1:59.82 ... took 12th in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:09.58.

In a home intersquad scrimmage, Abadi took 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay with a relay time of 1:40.59...won the 200 Butterfly with a time of 1:56.68...placed 3rd in the 100 Butterfly in 53.32.

In home meet versus Simon Fraser Jan. 20, took second in 200 yard butterfly with time of 1:54.17 ... swam anchor leg of third-place 200 medley relay team in 22.11 (relay time 1:36.63) ... swam 500 free in 4:50.75.

In home meet versus Simon Fraser Jan. 21, finished 1000 yard freestyle in 10:23.78 ... swam 500 free in 4:47.39 ... swam third leg of 400 free relay in 48.27 (relay time 3:15.07).

At MPSF Championships Feb. 15-18, swam 200 yard butterfly in 1:53.05 ... swam 100 fly with finals time of 50.90 (preliminary time 50.80).

2010-11 Season: At the University of Hawaii on Oct. 15-16 he swam the 1,000 yd free in 10:06.11 ... placed 3rd in the 200 yd fly in 1:58.58 ... swam the 500 free in 4:59.63 ... At the Army meet on Oct. 8, Abadi swam the 1,000 yd freestyle in 10:06.76 ... the 200 yd butterfly in 2:01.26 ... the 500 yd freestyle in 4:55.45

At Pacific on Nov. 6, Abadi placed sixth in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:07.30 ... Finished fifth in the 200 butterfly in 1:58.58 ... Swam the 100 butterfly for fifth place in 53.63 

At Seattle U's home meet versus Simon Fraser, he placed third in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:06.41 

On Dec. 3 at Utah, Abadi placed fourth in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:40.35 ... Finished fifth in the 200 butterfly in 2:01.92 ... Finished sixth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:12.06 

On Dec. 4 at BYU, he placed sixth in the 200 butterfly in 2:05.23 ... Finished fourth in the 100 butterfly in 53.62 

Against Whitworth on Jan. 28, he placed third in the 1650 freestyle in 17:03.41 ... Swam the lead leg on the fourth-place 800 freestyle in 1:50.94 (7:30.74)

At the MPSF Championships, Abadi finished the 500 freestyle in 4:48.42 ... Finished the 200 butterfly in 1:54.40 ...  

High School: Abadi swam all four years at Edmonds Woodway High School.  He took third in state in the 100 meter butterfly in 2009.  He held school records in the 100 fly, 200 meter individual medley, and 100 meter freestyle.  Abadi was also a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with a full International Baccalaureate diploma.

Club Experience: Abadi swam for the Stingray Swim Club six years.  He was a top eight finalist at Senior Sectionals in the 200 meter butterfly in 2009 and a top 24 finalist in the 200 fly at the 2009 NCSA Junior Nationals.

Personal: Full name is Alireza B. Abadi.  His parent is Shahla Dashtestani, and he has an older sibling named Arad.  Abadi is a biology major and is pursuing a career in medicine.  Born in Iran, Abadi enjoys traveling and doing water activities.
