PRIOR TO SEATTLE U: Played at Xavier for parts of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 seasons, making 24 starts in goal...in 2017, Nelson earned Big East All-Freshman Team honors, recording a 1.32 goals against average and three shutouts...in 2018, he notched a 1.28 GAA in 10 starts for the Musketeers...prior to his time at Xavier, Nelson was the starting goalkeeper for Portland Timbers MLS Academy Team in 2015-16.
