PRIOR TO SEATTLE U: Thomas Mickoski is a St. John’s transfer. The native of Innisfil, Ontario, was a member of the Canadian U-17 National Team and played with Toronto FC Academy. At St. John’s, he made 21 starts over two seasons.
“Thomas has a lot of experience with the Canadian youth national team, Toronto FC Academy and St. John’s,” said Coach Pete Fewing. “He is very versatile being able to play all positions on the backline or in the midfield. We really liked Thomas’s ability on the ball, he is calm under pressure and keeps possession well being able to get into the attack from wide spaces. He is also a gritty defender who looks to put players under pressure. Thomas was great throughout the recruiting process and will fit into the team culture very well.”
