2009: Starting in 10 matches and playing in 16 out of 17 games Walsh tied for most goals scored with three goals during the season. Walsh had two game inning goals bringing Seattle U to a 2-1 victory against UNLV on Oct. 18th and a 2-1 victory against the Air Force on Nov. 1st. Walsh was credited with 11 total shots, including 6 shots on goal.
2008: Ian tied for second on the team with five goals during the season. Making seven appearance in the starting lineup and playing in 12 matches overall, he earned a hat trick in SeattleU's 9-1 victory over Howard University on September 7. He also picked up goals on September 1 against North Florida and on September 21 at San Jose State. Ian was credited with 17 total shots, including nine shots on goal.
2007: Walsh appeared in 18 matches during the season, making eight appearances in the starting lineup. He earned four goals and one assist for nine total points during the year. Walsh's goals came against Humboldt State on Aug. 24, against Saint Martin's on Oct. 1 and Oct. 21, and against Western Washington on Oct. 25. He assisted on the game-winning goal in Seattle's 1-0 overtime victory over Montana State Billings on Sept. 24.
2006: Walsh appeared in 15 matches for the Redhawks, including five starts early in the season. His first career assist came on Seattle's second goal of the match in a 3-2 victory at UC San Diego. In the 15 matches he appeared in, he helped the Seattle defense give up only 26 goals.
San Marin HS: Walsh prepped at San Marin HS in the San Francisco Bay area...led his team to the playoffs all three seasons that he was on varsity...was named team MVP as a senior...a first-team Marin County Athletic League selection as a junior...also played basketball and track and field while at San Marin HS.
Personal: Walsh's major is finance and accounting. Born November 19, 1987, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., he is the son of Gwenn Walsh and has a twin sister as well as a younger brother.
