2012-13: Tied for 67th and shot 20-over-par 233 at Dash Thomas Memorial (Sept. 24-25) ... competed as an individual at Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational (Sept. 17-18), shooting 6-over-par 219 and tying for 12th.
2011-12: Shot 159 (+15) at Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational Feb. 13-14, tying for 80th.
Lawrence University: In his freshman year, Pechan claimed two tournament wins for the Vikings, the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational and the Ripon Invitational. He shot the team's lowest score at every tournament he participated in.
Bothell High School: Pechan was a four-year member of the golf team and twice was named to the All-Conference team. He also played soccer his sophomore year for the Cougars.
Other: Pechan placed second in the Seattle Amateur and 15th in the Washington State Amateur. He also holds a course record of 64 at Washington County Golf Club in Hartford, Wisconsin.
Personal: Full name is John William Pechan. Parents are Mary Jo and Jim Pechan, and he has two older siblings, Jamie and Mike, and one younger sibling named Sam. Pechan is currently undecided on a major.
