High School: Prepped at Ripon Christian High School in Ripon, Calif., where he was a three-sport athlete, competing in basketball, football and volleyball... in hoops, Alger was a two-time First Team All-Trans Valley League selection... earned the league's Most Outstanding Player honor once... led the Knights to a CIF Sac-Joaquin D6 Section Championship and a D6 Norcal runner-up finish in 2018... in 2019, Ripon Christian played in both the section tournament and CIF State Tournament... averaged 18 points, 12.3 rebounds and three assists per game as a senior... more than 1,000 points scored for his career... additional honors his senior year included Front Row Preps All-Region First Team, CalHiSports.com All-State First Team and D5 Scholar Athlete of the Year... as a junior in 2017-18, was named to the Modesto Bee All-District Team and earned the CIF Sac-Joaquin Sportsmanship Award... was named the Knights' Team MVP in 2015-16 and 2018-19...earned the team's Most Inspirational Award in 2017-18... was a two-time TVL MVP in volleyball... also named Best of the Record Volleyball Player of the Year, Max Preps Western Region Volleyball Player of the Week, Manteca Bulletin Player of the Year, First Team All-State and All District, Team MVP and Offensive Player of the Year... in football, led the Knights to undefeated SAL Championship season in 2018 and 2019... team finished runner-up in the D6 Section Championship... was an SAL honorable mention selection as a quarterback... named the Knights' Offensive Player of the Year.
