Baldwin High School: Hurt averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists for the Braves under Lenwood May. He led the team to two elite eight appearances and one sweet sixteen appearance in the Georgia 4-AAAA state tournament.
MIlitary Service: Hurt served in the United States Navy as a personnel specialist from March 2007 to March 2011. During his service, he was stationed at PSD Afloat Atlantic in Norfolk, Va., as well as onboard the USS Enterprise.
Personal: Hurt is the son of Ronald Hurt and Mary Copelin, and he has one older sister. He is majoring in computer science.
