2009-2010: Lever played in all 31 games for the Redhawks, averaging almost 20 minutes a game. He led the team with 45 steals over the season, as well as averaging 3.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. Lever had two strong games against Eastern Washington, scoring a season-high 13 points in both meetings, and hitting 3-of-4 three-pointers during SU's home game. He also tallied 7 steals at Cal Poly, the highest by any player in a single game all season.
Midland: Lever averaged 7 points and 4 assists per game, as well as 2.3 steals per game (fifth in the nation). He led the team to a regional championship win, and later to the championship game of the National Junior College Tournament.
Nebraska-Kearny: Led the entire nation with 3.6 steals per game, accumulating 90 over the entire season, as well as averaging 13 points per game. Nebraska-Kearny reached the Conference Tournament semifinals, and Lever received all-tournament honors. He was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
High School: During his senior year, Lever led his team to a 24-2 record, averaging 16.3 points per game. His team was ranked in the top 15 for the country, and Lever was named to First Team All-City and First Team All-Region, as well as Second Team All-State.
Personal: Born on August 21, 1988, Lever is the son of Charlene Manager and Lafayette "Fat" Lever. In his free time, Lever enjoys eating, sleeping, and watching movies. The players he emulates most are Ron Artest and Bruce Bowen for their defense.
