2020 Cross Country: Academic All-WAC... ran new personal best of 25.24.1 in the 7.47k at the Portland/SU Dual... posted a season best of 27.40.1 in the 8k at the WAC Championship.
2020 Indoor: Academic All-WAC… scored in the mile run finals with a seventh-place time of 4:21.60 at the WAC Indoor Championships… also finished with a time of 4:20.00 in the mile run preliminary round… at the Portland Indoor Two, ran the season’s 10th-best mile time in the WAC and the third-best in school indoor history with a personal-best 4:16.96… posted a time of 4:17.56 in the mile run at the UW Invitational… set a personal record in the 1000m run at the UW Preview with his time of 2:26.97.
2019 Cross Country: Set a new personal record in the 10k race at the NCAA Division I West Region Cross Country Championships, posting a time of 35:20.1… at the Western Athletic Conference XC Championships, finished the 8k in 27:16.8… at the West Region Preview, finished the 8k in 25:55.1, a new personal best.
2019 Outdoor: Posted the 15th-best outdoor 1500m time in the WAC with a time of 3:56.29 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, a new personal record… at the St. Martin’s Jay Hammer Invitational, had the 11th-best time in the WAC for the 3k steeplechase with a PR of 9:40.60… took fifth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:00.77 at the Doris Heritage Track Festival.
2019 Indoor: At the Last Chance College Elite, posted the 11th-best time in the conference for the indoor 800m run with a personal-best 1:56.95… had the 20th-best conference time for the indoor mile run with a personal-best 4:23.08 at the UW Preview.
2018 Cross Country: Academic All-WAC... ran the 8k in 26:52.80 at the WAC Cross Country Championships… had a personal-best 8k time of 26:04.80 at the Bronco Invitational.
In 2016 and 2017, Pendley-Griffin made the all-state cross country team while competing for Norman High School in Norman, Okla.… was crowned the 1600m Regional Champion in 2017, later placing third in the 1600m and 3200m at the State Championships… defended his 1600m regional title in 2018, while also taking the conference championship and placing second at State in the same event… also built on his 3200m performance from the previous year, placing second overall… won cross country MVPs in 2016 and 2017, also receiving track and field MVPs in 2017 and 2018… was team captain for cross country during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, boasting personal records of 52.97 in the 400m, 1:56.97 in the 800m, and 15:33.90 in the 5000m.
Ansel Pendley-Griffin is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Young Democrats… in high school, he also joined the Spanish Honor Society and Math Honor Society... majoring in Nursing at Seattle U.
