Junior College: Caleb was captain of the 2012 cross country team and the 2013 track and field team at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz. He helped the team finish in fourth place at the NJCAA Half-Marathon National Championships.
High School: At Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, Caleb competed in four state cross country championships (2007-10) as well as two track and field championships (2010-11). After finishing third in the state cross country meet in 2010, he was named Tucson Citizen Division 4 Runner of the Year as well as second team All-Southern Arizona.
Personal: Caleb is the youngest son of Alex and Gina Herrera, and he has an older brother named Nathan. Born May 31, 1993, he is a pre-major.
