High School: Representing the Arapahoe High School Warriors, Chris finished 10th at the state cross country championships in his junior year and 13th at the same meet in his senior season. He won the Centennial League Championship as a junior and the Windjammer Invitational title as a senior. On the track, he won the 1600 meter run in three meets and the 3200 meter run four different times during his senior campaign.
