High School: Byrne was a two-year captain at Jefferson High School, helping the Raiders reach the playoffs in 2014, the team's first playoff appearance in six years. He batted .360 over his varsity career with an on-base percentage of .494, plus he collected 39 stolen bases. He earned All-District and All-League honors in both 2013 and 2014.
Personal: Byrne is the youngest son of Tom and Kim Byrne, and he has an older brother named Ryan as well as an older sister named Sara. Born July 9, 1996, he is majoring in business management.
