Summer 2011: Like several other Redhawks Steve spent the summer mending injuries from the Redhawks season. Steve was hampered a shoulder injury that kept him making his presence felt both behind the dish, and from the left side of the plate. After a summer of hard training, Steve is looking forward to showing what he could do with a full season on the field, as well as help lead the team in his third season as a Redhawk.

High School: Steve was a two-year varsity letterwinner for the Juanita High School Rebels. He batted a .479 his junior year with 3 HR, 9 2B, and 23 RBI. His senior year he batted a .442 with 2 HR. He left the school seventh all-time in batting average, and tied for 10th in hits.

Personal: Born April 17, 1991, Steve is majoring in electrical engineering. His parents are Eric and Jennifer Kirbach, and he has a brother is Alex Kirbach.
