High School: Cray was a four-year varsity starter for Chimacum High. Playing center and pitcher for the Cowboys, he helped led the squad to two state championship games, winning in 2011. As a pitcher he put together 72-10 career record, going 22-1 in 2011. He was named All-State player of the year in 2011 and First Team All-State in 2009, 2010, and 2012. He won league MVP awards all four years, and also led the team to third place in the state in 2009 and a regionals appearance in 2012. He once tossed a no-hitter in which he struck out 20 batters, and he set school records in home runs in a season (10) and batting average (.627).
Personal: Full name Landon Cole Cray. Parents are Michelle and Jared Cray, and he has a younger sister named Lexie. His uncle, Paul Sorrento, played for the Seattle Mariners. Cray is majoring in communication studies. He also enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
