Enumclaw High School: Koenig was a three-year varsity starter for the Hornets. During his senior year, he was named to the All-State team and Seattle Times All-Area team and was once named State Athlete of the Week. He was also on the first team all-conference at third base in 2011, making the conference's second team the year before. Koenig was given the team's MVP and Big Stick awards in 2011 after hitting .511 with 11 home runs and a 1.149 slugging percentage. He helped lead the school to the state semi-finals in 2010 and second round of the state tournament in 2011. His 11 home runs in 2011 is a school record for home runs in a season. Koenig also played three years of football and two years of basketball.
Club Experience: Koenig played for the Federal Way Buzz for four years.
Personal: Full name is Eric Parker Koenig. His parents are Melissa and Weston Koenig, and he has a younger brother named Tyler. Koenig is majoring in environmental studies, ecological systems and will pursue a career in biology after graduation.
