High School: Jaeger earned four varsity letters for the Stevenson School baseball team. Playing short stop and second base, he helped lead the Pirates to the CCS playoffs twice. He earned First Team All-League honors once and Second Team All-League twice, and he hit .420 his junior and senior years. Jaeger also earned three letters playing for the school's basketball team, leading the squad to the CCS playoffs all three years. He was First Team All-League for basketball all three years as well, and he also was named Defensive Player of the League his sophomore year.
