2019: Started 12 of 23 games … made his Redhawk debut as a pinch hitter on Feb. 22 against Omaha and notched his first start two days later, as catcher, in the series finale … first career hit was a three-run home run against Washington (3/5) … drove in a pinch-hit run against California Baptist on Apr. 6 … posted a .947 fielding with 31 putouts and five assists.
High School: Was a three-year letterman for Mercer Island High School’s varsity baseball team… batted .329 and won the MIHS Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018… Washington State First Team member and Kingco catcher in his senior year… Kingco Honorable Mention catcher in his junior year… won the Washington State Championships with MIHS in 2015, winning Regionals in 2016 and 2018 and taking third in State in 2017… best performance at MIHS was a 3-3, 4 RBI game with 3 doubles… also a member of the Northwest Islanders, Bellevue Baseball Club and Port Angeles Lefties.
Personal: Matt Boissoneault was a member of the National Honor Society and was the president of the National League of Young Men in high school… he plans to major in business management with a minor in finance.
