The Redhawk waved and said hello, sporting a new costume for local SU students as they journeyed through the student center or at the Murphy Apartment bbq Tuesday night.
The Redhawk mascot said "hi" and made some valuable friends along the way, even surprising some students as they sat down to eat dinner. Some of his friends included SU men's and women's soccer players Jess Dougherty, Luis Gamez, Andrew Kreiter and the SU softball team's Jane Purdy.
Back at the Murphy Apartment bbq, aside from the burgers and hotdogs consumed by Murphy residents, the Redhawk posed for photographs with local students.
The Redhawk encourages all students to go to SU athletic events and cheer on all SU teams. He does this by giving a high-five or a nod, mainly because Redhawks don't talk. They just win.
