SERIES HISTORY
Friday’s matchup marks the 10th all-time meeting between Seattle U and Denver, with the Redhawks holding a 1-6-2 record in the series. Seattle U earned its first-ever win over the Pioneers last season, securing a 3-0 shutout at Championship Field.
LAST TIME OUT
Seattle U fell to San Diego, 4-2, on Senior Day last Saturday. The Redhawks struck early, with Alex Notzka finding the back of the net in the second minute, but the Toreros responded with four goals over the final 88 minutes. Alex Bazia netted the other SU goal in the 27th minute.
BATTLE FOR THE TOURNAMENT
Seattle U enters Friday needing a win over Denver and a San Francisco loss to secure a spot in the WCC Tournament in Portland. The Dons currently hold the final tournament berth, sitting one point ahead of the Redhawks heading into their regular-season finale against Portland.
NOTZKA NETS 11th OF THE SEASON
Alex Notzka returned to the scoresheet against San Diego, finding the back of the net for the first time in three matches. The junior leads Seattle U with 11 goals on the season, ranking second in the WCC and 11th nationally.
BAZIA CONSISTINCY
Junior Alex Bazia netted his third goal of the season in Saturday’s loss to San Diego. The Gonzaga transfer has now recorded three goals and two assists in each of his first three collegiate seasons. However, 2026 has been his most efficient campaign, as he has scored three times on just eight shots, compared to 26 shots as a sophomore and 20 as a freshman.
NOTZKA AND FLORES MAKE TOP 100
Alex Notzka earned the No. 79 spot on TopDrawerSoccer’s Top 100 Players list, leading the Redhawks with 10 goals this season. Freshman Leo Flores ranked No. 49 on the Top 100 Freshmen list, tallying five goals and two assists to rank second on the team in points behind Notzka.
